The bringing home of a new baby is a joyous occasion. Flowers are brought over. Food is delivered to your door by caring friends and neighbours. And often, there is an older child, perhaps hiding behind her daddy’s legs, or perhaps leaping as fast as she can leap towards her mother and the new baby.

“Elka, this is your little sister, Eve.”
